House Antonia is located in Demonia, a small and typical Greek village
consisting of 200 inhabitants in South-East-Laconia. The distance from Sparti is
about 100 km and about 26 km from the historical byzantinic town Monemvasia,
further 24 km from the harbour of Neapolis.
The surrounding of the village of
Demonia are typical Greek hills with a plenty of olive trees. The distance to
the next beach is 1,6 km, it is the sandbeach of Charakia on the westcoast of
the Lakonic Gulf.
South-East-Laconia on Peloponnes is still a secret between
those who spent their holidays in Greece and up to now it is protected from mass
tourism.
House Antonia is an old house built in traditional typical local style and was renovated
recently .It is
protected by the monument authorities because of it is age . It has thick
stonewalls which are very useful to protect from the heat of summertime.
The
two levels of living are connected inside by wooden stairs and outside by
wooden and stone-stairs.
In front of the house there is a big yard with
flowers, trees and garden furniture, an outside shower and a private parking
place.
Downstairs there is a big living room with full equipped kitchen and a
sleeping room with two beds and a cupboard.
In the first floor there is a bath
room, a double bedroom with a fireplace and balcony, one more sleeping room with
two beds, cupboard and a sun terrace with a panorama view to the village and
the sea.
The house is enough for 6 pax (the larger apartment) and 2/3 pax (the studio)
